HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends

Hope this meets you well. According to how we invest in our karmic life, we will get a particular type of body. There are millions of species of life. Each one facilitates a particular opportunity to get the reactions of our particular karma. The law of nature is that we become who we associate with. So according to the modes of nature we associate with, our consciousness is influenced, which creates the destiny of our soul to live in a particular species of life. After travelling through all those species of life, one is given the great fortune of human existence. It is so rare and a precious opportunity for self-realization.

The essential need of every living entity is to love and to be loved. But the love of this world is a source of great disappointment and frustration because all experiences in this world, and the objects of this world, are temporary. Therefore, the soul is constantly looking for something more, but due to ignorance does not really know what they are looking for. Everyone is looking for God. That is the soul’s eternal longing – to feel God’s unlimited love upon them and to naturally reciprocate and offer our unlimited thirst to love Him. To love God means to spontaneously and naturally love every living being without discrimination. This state of consciousness is the level by which, we can achieve real peace. There is no other way because all other ideas of peace and happiness are superficial misconceptions based on ignorance.

With great happiness in our hearts, we welcome you to the ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) where you can open your hearts and receive the divine love of Sri Sri Radha and Krsna.

Along with Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, He spread the Sankirtana movement. Advaita Acharya's Appearance Day Special Festival and Classes this Week!

HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you well. The highest prayer is the prayer to become a selfless instrument in God’s hands. As Saint Francis prayed, “Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.” He prayed not to receive, but to give; to be freed of all selfishness and to be filled with selflessness. He prayed to be the servant. He prayed to see that every living being as his master in the sense, “Let me be the humble servant to uplift, to help and to care for all my brothers and sisters in this world.”

The heart is on a crusade of love, and love is all about service. There are many saints in the world who were truly an embodiment of selfless service. Service doesn’t simply mean doing something for someone else. That is a very superficial understanding. But real service is selfless, unconditional, uninterrupted by various obstacles that may come in our path. Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON, taught us this principle and he lived by this principle. It is the principle that is broadcasted throughout the entire Srimad Bhagavatam and Caitanya Caritamrita. Srila Prabhupada,at the age of seventy, came to the West after suffering from heart attacks, strokes and sea sickness to give Krsna consciousness to the whole world. This shows Prabhupada's compassion and selfless service attitude.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to all the visitors and patrons  of ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) for your continued interest and commitment in worshipping and hearing about Lord Krishna and your different services at ISV. With great happiness in our hearts, we welcome you  back to ISV for this week's classes and events.

Wednesday, February 5: Sri Advaita Acharya's Appearance Day Festival

GLORIES OF SRI ADVAITA ACHARYA

Advaita Acharya appeared in fifteenth century Bengal, India, as a teacher of Krishna consciousness. He is frequently mentioned in the biography of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Chaitanya Charitamrita, as an intimate associate of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and as an avatar of Krishna (specifically an incarnation of Sadashiva and Maha-Vishnu).

Chaitanya Charitamrita relates how Advaita Acharya was so pained to see the degraded condition of the people in Kali Yuga, the Age of Quarrel, that He fervently prayed for Krishna Himself to descend and remedy the situation. Sri Advaita worshiped Krishna on the banks of the Ganges with Ganges water and Tulasi leaves, crying out and begging for the Lord to come save the suffering souls. In response to Sri Adwaita Acharya's devotion and compassion, Krishna decided to appear, in the form of His own devotee—Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

6:00pm Bhajans
6:30pm Glories of Advita Acharya by H.G.Satya Dev Prabhu

You are invited to the complete yoga package which includes Yoga asanas, breathing exercises (pranayama), Vedic wisdom, and introspective meditation. We strive diligently to overcome many fears, however the necessary security measures like insurances, helmets, health checkups fail to free us from a disconcerting sense of fear and insecurity. The Vedic texts explain that all fear originates in an unbalanced material conception of life. Beyond the stage of material activity that preoccupies our mind lies a vast, unexplored realm of spiritual tranquility.

VEDIC ACADEMY KRISHNA CLASSES : Parallel Session for Kids which includes Vedic stories, Yoga, Vedic Math, Music Lessons and much more.
