Dear Friends and Patrons

Nothing is impossible for the Lord and therefore nothing is impossible for the one who takes shelter in the dust of the lotus feet of the Lord!

TUESDAY, MAY 25 - IN-PERSON NARASIMHA CHATURDASI DARSHAN & EVENING CELEBRATION WITH H.G. VAISESIKA PRABHU @ ISV!

Narasimha Chaturdasi, is the appearance day or birthday of Lord Narasimha, the half-Lion and half-man incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The Narasimha Chaturdasi festival is of great significance to all Vaishnavas and is observed by fasting till dusk. Lord Narasimha Deva removes the obstacles in the path of devotional service. Devotees who pray to Him are always protected from all kinds of calamities.

On Tuesday, May 25, ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) will be celebrating Nrsimha Chaturdashi, the most auspicious appearance day festival of Lord Nrsimhadeva. On this occasion, all the devotees are cordially invited to visit ISV and take in person darshan of Their Lordship during the following darshan schedule by signing up using SIGNUP LINK (one per family). In case you are unable to find any slots for Darshan please email us @ jpt-isv@googlegroups.com. We will try to accommodate everyone for the Darshan.

Darshan Schedule:

  • (Mangala Arati) 4:30 am - 5:15 am PDT
  • (Sringara Arati) 7:30 am - 9:00 am PDT
  • (Rajabhoga Arati) 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm PDT
  • (Evening Darshan) 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm PDT

Please note: Devotees coming for the darshan are requested to avoid staying back in the hall for the program. They will be requested to collect their to-go prasadam box after darshan. Depending on the rush, we anticipate the evening darshan to be more like a walk-through darshan, as happens during Janmashtami.

Evening Main Program Schedule :

5:30 pm to 7:30 pm PDT: Narasimha Caturdasi celebrations presided by H.G Vaisesika Prabhu. This program includes Kirtan, Abhishek & Lecture, MSF Offering & Aarti

Safety Guidelines:

It is our humble request to all the visitors that if you have traveled in the past two weeks or have been in the close proximity of someone who has traveled, then please avoid visiting the temple this time. While we are observing many safety precautions, visitors are advised to use their best judgment for their own safety.

Before you leave your home:

  • Please take the temperature of everyone in your household - if anyone in your family (regardless if they will be visiting the temple or not) has a temperature of more than 100.4 degrees (F), then please avoid coming to the temple.

  • Please proceed towards the welcome booth and take off your shoes only in the designated places

  • Sanitize your hands with the sanitizer provided at the welcome booth. Your temperature will be taken at the booth before allowing you to get into the queue. A temperature check is mandatory.

  • Please follow the social distancing guidelines of 6 feet distance.

Once inside the Temple Hall

  • Please follow the signs posted and stay within the permitted areas.

  • Only the temple hall will be accessible to the guests, the access to the kitchen and other rooms/areas is restricted.

  • Please do not offer prostrated obeisances (dandavats). You can offer the prayers with folded hands.

  • During arati, lamp, maha-water, and flower will NOT be circulated inside the temple hall.

  • Voluntary donations will be accepted in the hundi.

After Darshan

  • After taking darshan of Lordships, please exit the temple hall via the designated exit.

  • Once you exit the temple hall, please take to-go prasadam from the table.

BHAGAVAD GITA AS IT IS - Chapter A Day (CHAD)

"As Arjuna set aside his bow and arrows, let us set aside any sense of confidence in our own abilities so that we may hear Krsna's words with full heart and attention. This kind of submissive hearing is the primary requirement for advancement in spiritual life. The devotee who hears Krsna's words with a submissive heart immediately feels an ingress of causeless knowledge and detachment." - H. G. Vaisesika Prabhu
