Dear Friends,

The ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) , would like to thank all the donors for their generous support. We are grateful for your commitment and spirit of giving. Their Lordships have moved to their beautiful new residence in Mountain View, CA a month ago and we are so glad that you all have seized upon this once in a million lifetimes opportunity and have donated to see this beautiful temple constructed.

Tomorrow (May 13th 2013) is Akshaya Tritiya which is considered the most auspicious day in the Vedic calendar. It is a day bereft of all inauspiciousness. So even checking muhurthas is considered unnecessary. The word Akshaya means, that which never diminishes, hence beginnings made or valuables bought on this day are considered auspicious enough to bring luck and success. Whatever services are offered to the Supreme Lord Krishna or his devotees on this day receives manifold eternal benefits. Dana (donation) given on this is said to give manifold results. We are still fundraising for the Phase I of ISV's new temple construction. Many of you have generously donated for the Million dollar wall and we continue to seek your help and support. Please take this wonderful opportunity to donate a tile for the Million dollar wall on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya and receive eternal spiritual credits and unlimited blessings from Their Lordships.

As a background, we intend to build a Million Dollar Tile at ISV new Temple at 1965 Latham Street, Mountain View, CA. This wall will have 500 signature tiles created by best ISKCON artists Dhriti Mataji and Ramdas Prabhu. Each Tile can be customized with name/s of dear one or with a short message and comes for $2000. Our phone lines are open and we are receiving request from every corner of world for securing a tile. Please contact isvnewtemple@gmail.com or call +1 949 981 4976 to secure a Tile.

Candana-yatra also begins on this auspicious day, which is a twenty one day festival observed in temples – especially in India – during summer season. During Candana-yatra, devotees anoint the Deities of the Lord with cooling sandalwood paste.
