Dear Friends,
Hope this meets you all well.
Thank you visiting the ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) last week as we participated in the World Holy Name week and experienced the bliss of holy names through our discourses, kirtans and harinaam. We would like to extend a warm invitation to you to join us for yet another eventful week at ISV packed with nectar.
Tomorrow, September 25th, marks the anniversary of Srila Prabhupada's arrival in America back in 1965. He came to America at the age of seventy with no money but with a suitcase full of spiritual literatures, the wealth of which is immeasurable. He single handedly preached the message of Bhagavad Gita in the streets of New York and slowly after many struggles started the International Society for Krsna Consciousness in 1966. He fulfilled the prophecy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu that one day in every town and village, the holy names of Lord Krsna will be sung. We are eternally indebted to Srila Prabhupada for the immense wealth of Krsna consciousness he has given us,
This week at ISV, join us as we honor our dear Srila Prabhupada and his dear disciple and offer our gratitude to them.

The Mayapuris have crash-landed into the kirtan/chant genre, quickly becoming the most talked-about group in this growing scene of kirtan music. Their story starts in the quiet backcountry of North Central Florida, Alachua, a small village-esque town known to some as the capital of the underground grassroots-kirtan movement in the West. With their debut album, Mridanga (June 22, 2010/Mantralogy) they have brought youthful and new energy to kirtan. Please join us for this unique experience of unheard bliss and energy.

Speaker: H.G. Vaisesika Das
4.00 – 5.45pm: Discourse on "The Perils of Criticizing Vaishnavas"
6.00pm: Arotik followed by Prasadam
First held in 1966 at the request of Srila Prabhupada (the founder of the Hare Krishna movement), the Sunday Love Feast has evolved as an integrated celebration of Lord Krishna's pastimes: chanting, hearing spiritual knowledge, dancing, eating and generally sharing the bliss of Lord Krsna's presence. Since then, this weekly Sunday Love Feast festival is celebrated in all Hare Krishna temples around the world. We extend a warm and hearty welcome to you, your friends and family. Please join us at ISV for this wonderful event every Sunday.
Furthermore, to offer sumptuous prasadam to the devotees is an auspicious activity. If you would like to sponsor a Sunday Feast, to commemorate a special occasion (like birthday or wedding anniversary) or just in general, please write to us at isvconnect@gmail.com. We will offer the bhoga to the Deities and serve prasadam to all the devotees in your name. Donation amount for the Sunday Feast is $301 only.
In case you are unable to make it, you can also join us through audio conference or watch live broadcast. The details are available at www.IskconSiliconValley.com
