HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well.

We are renaming our campaign to "Share Your Home Kirtana". The sastras proclaim that the performance of chanting the holy names of Lord Krsna is the only method prescribed method of worship that is suitable to the people of Kali Yuga. Everything is attained by means of this divine dispensation. Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is none other than Lord Krsna came Himself in the guise of a devotee to spread the importance of Harinama Sankirtana. He would go with His followers into the streets and chant the names of Krishna so that peoples suffering could be ended, and they could take to the real activity, the spiritual activity, of worshiping and serving the Supreme Lord.

When the devotees in Navadvipa approached Lord Caitanya, He instructed them on the Holy Name, "Now listen from Me the maha-mantra, 'Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare'. Go and repeatedly chant this mantra a prescribed number of times. One can achieve all perfections from this chanting so go on repeating these names, for this chanting is not restricted by any rules. You can sit around together five or ten of You in your house and chant or sing this mantra accompanied by the clapping of hands or cymbals. When you are singing together then sing this, "Haraye namah Krishna. Yadavaya namah. Gopal Govinda Ram Sri Madhusudana. This congregational chanting should be joined by one and all, father, brother, wife, son all together."

With this in mind, we request you all to send your home kirtana video clip (30 seconds max) to us with the subject: "Home Kirtana of <Your Name>" on or before July 20th to isvconnect@gmail.com. We will compile all the videos and screen it at ISV during our "Show Your Home Kirtana" series. Please send us only MP4 or WMV video formats. We request you to send the video on or before July 20th.

Thank you and Happy Kirtana!
