SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6 - Special Discourse on "The Emblem of Selflessness - King Rantidev"
The Vedic King Rantideva showed what realization is required for true compassion. What would modern-day social services make of a man who gives away the food meant for his own children to satisfy the hunger of strangers? How would they judge this man, whose family “shivered for want of food,” while he persisted in his unusual dedication to charitable impulses? We welcome you to learn more on the Selfless nature of King Rantideva.

His lifestyle consists of regular spiritual disciplines, yoga postures and physical exercises, mostly raw foods, dancing fervently before the temple Deities, and of course--the grace of his guru and Krishna. His greatest pleasure is to help persons develop their faith in, service to, and love for God, which alone, he believes, can bring one lasting peace, continuous joy, and boundless happiness.
