SEP 14, WEDNESDAY : THE WISDOM OF SRILA BHAKTIVINODA THAKURA
Today is the auspicious appearance day of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura. Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura (1838-1914) was a pioneering spiritual leader, a magistrate working in colonial India under British rule, a prolific preacher, writer, and poet. One of his sons was Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, a highly influential spiritual leader in his own right, and the spiritual master of the founder of the Hare Krishna movement, Srila Prabhupada.
Just by remembering the glorious life and work of Srila Bhaktivinoda, we advance in the practice of devotional service.

SEPTEMBER 17, SATURDAY - ANNUAL KIDS RATH YATRA & MONTHLY MINI FESTIVAL
We cordially invite you, your family and your friends to participate in the very auspicious Kids Rath Yatra cum monthly Mini Festival on Saturday, September 17th at 5.59 PM. Please do not miss this golden opportunity to chant the holy name and pull the holy rope of Lord Jagannath's Chariot.

5.59 PM- Kids Rath Yatra program starts at Elinor Cogswell plaza/park(264 Lytton Avenue between Ramona and Bryant streets)
6.10 PM- Aarti performed by kids
6.20 PM- 56 bhoga offering.
6.35 PM- Kids get chance to pull the Chariot around the Park
7.05 PM-Kids perform Kirtan, pull the Chariot and proceed towards Lytton Plaza on University Avenue (220 University Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94301)
Route will be via Lytton Ave and Emerson Ave(See picture below).
7.30 PM- Rath reaches Lytton Plaza.
9.00 PM- Prasadam
Please note that Harinam will start at Lytton Plaza at 5.59 PM while Rath Yatra is going on in the park. Kids will do the Kirtan at Cogswell Plaza and also while Ratha goes Lytton Plaza.
We request all adults and kids to wear devotee clothes.
56 Bhoga offering will happen only once and start at 6.20 PM sharp. If you want to participate and would like to offer your bhoga to the Lordships please drop your preparations by 6.15 PM.
If your kids want to participate in pulling the chariot please make sure they arrive by 6.30 PM.
All kids should be accompanied by a parent at all times.
Volunteer help is needed and much appreciated.

VEDIC EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN
Vedic Academy offers Sunday School for kids from age group 3 - 15 yrs every Sunday from 4 - 6pm where kids learn about Vedic Culture, Slokas, Stories & Lessons from Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam etc., Bhajans and participate in Arts & Crafts, Dramas and much more.
