Vraj Vihari dasa joined ISKCON in 1976 in Ann Arbor while attending the University of Michigan. After 12 years doing the service of sankirtan as a brahmacari, he married Ananda Vrindavanesvari Devi and the two of them moved to Vrindavan where he served as the director of the Vrindavan Institute for Higher Education. He lived in India for 21 years teaching sastra and workshops on the practical application of sastra. In 2002, he started ISKCONResolve, a global effort to help devotees deal with conflicts in a constructive way. As ISKCONResolve grew, his work caught the attention of the legal community in India and in 2006, he began working for the Supreme Court of India training judges and senior advocates in mediation. After all those years in India, with their son choosing to go to college in America, he and his wife moved back to the United States in 2011. She serves as the Temple President in Washington DC and Vraj Vihari continues teaching sastra, developing ISKCONResolve, and working as the Ombudsman for the US Federal Government. |
