Give the best gift to your children...You are invited to Vedic Academy's Open House event at ISV on Sunday, September 8th 2013!

                            http://iskconsiliconvalley.com/

Dear Friends

We are excited to announce Vedic Academy's "Open House 2013" event to be held at the ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) tomorrow, September 8th from 4.30pm - 6.30pm.

Vedic Academy is an educational initiative of  ISV that aims to provide holistic education for the whole child (mind, body and soul) to develop integrity, compassion and more importantly devotion to God. We at, Vedic Academy, believe that education culminates in character & integrity.

Modern society has started discovering that human beings have not just physical needs, but also emotional and spiritual needs. Numerous surveys have confirmed that a child without a spiritual basis to his life easily falls prey to bad habits. A spiritually trained and guided child, on the other hand, is well equipped to counter harmful influences and confidently faces the stresses and tensions of modern life. Therefore,Vedic Academy, aims to help responsible parents in raising their children by offering systematic and scientific training in spiritual culture and wisdom.

We offer different programs for children of Silicon Valley from age groups 3- 15. One of the highlights of Vedic Academy is our "Vaikuntha Children Sunday School" which is once a week program (every Sunday evening) to train children in character building, personality development, ethical and spiritual values, Vedic culture and traditions, story-telling, devotional music and Sanskrit Shloka recitation. Thus we aim to help them become intelligent and responsible leaders of the family, the country and the world in the future. Apart from that we also offer enrichment classes such as Vedic Math, Chess, Sanskrit language arts and many more to come.

Please come and attend our open house program this week and get to know more about our programs.

WHEN:   Sunday, September 8th 2013 4.30 - 6.30pm

WHERE: ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV)

1965 Latham Street Mountain View CA 94040

For more details, please visit our website www.vedic-academy.org.

Thank you

Yours in service

Give yourself the chance to go deeper with the classes and events at ISV this week!

                            http://iskconsiliconvalley.com/

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well.

The Vedic scriptures explain how the human body is rarely achieved, and although, temporary like other bodies, it is meaningful because in human life one can perform devotional service. Srimad Bhagavatam teaches that even a slight amount of devotional service can give one complete perfection. Moreover the human form of life affords one a chance to return home, back to Godhead. Therefore, every human being, must engage in devotional service to the lotus feet of Lord Vishnu. This devotional service is natural because Lord Vishnu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the most beloved master and the well wisher of all other living beings.

Give yourself the chance to connect with your deeper self and experience the divine love. We extend a warm welcome to you to join the ISV family and give us your valuable association.

THE  COMPLETE YOGA PACKAGE

Module II : "Self Manager"

Session 3 : Power of Faith

You are invited to the complete yoga package which includes Yoga asanas, breathing exercises (pranayama), Vedic wisdom, and introspective meditation.

In times of pain and grief, the prayerful surrender to the will of the lord has the potential of bringing immediate and immense relief. However most people are unable to muster the faith necessary for offering such prayers. The Bhagavad Gita holds a unique position among all the world's scriptures in that it offers a solid intellectual springboard and a well defined spiritual trajectory for such a leap of faith. Such sensible and verifiable faith does not negate the process of intellectual explanation or dialogue, but it admits that the absolute truth is ultimately beyond logical grasp of our limited minds.

VEDIC ACADEMY : Parallel Session for Kids which includes Vedic stories, Yoga, Vedic Math, Music Lessons and much more.
