Dear Friends,
Hope this meets you all well.
Vedic scriptures have stressed the importance of hearing and chanting, Sravanam and Kirtanam, as the primary precursors in the advancement of Bhakti. Our spiritual preceptors have said that when we hear the spiritual knowledge very very carefully and regularly from the right source and maintain proper devotional service, we become progressively realized, progressively enlightened, progressively connected to Krsna and consequently detached from matter. Prabhupada once told that Krsna consciousness is very simple. If one can simply chant the holy names and hear about the pastimes of Supreme Lord from the scriptures in the association of like-minded devotees, one can immediately get connected to Supreme source, Lord Krsna, just as a light bulb when it comes in contact with the electricity, immediately glows.
Here at the ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV), we strive to facilitate that by propagating the teachings of Lord Caitanya and the glorious Sankirtana movement for the benefit of all the people in Bay Area. Over the past years, we have built a wonderful community of devotees who come together every week to experience peace, love and bliss that all of us are seeking deep within our heart. We extend a warm welcome to you to join the ISV family and give us your valuable association.
