HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well.

As the auspicious month of Kartik comes to a close, we try harder to do as much Devotional Service as we can, before this special month ends.

“…the Lord does not award devotional service to ordinary persons who are not serious about it. But even such unserious persons who execute devotional service according to the regulative principles during the month of Kārttika, and within the jurisdiction of Mathurā in India, are very easily awarded the Lord’s personal service.” (N.O.D., Chapter 12)

This week we study the right mindset for executing devotional service, we dive deep into the Siksastakam to capture its inner meanings and end the week with a special look at Varnashrama Dharma through Cow Protection and Self Sustaining Agriculture.

We extend a warm welcome to you and your family as we celebrate this last week of Kartik at ISV! Come and enjoy the benefits of this glorious month!

Take the ‘Kartik 2014 - CHAD challenge’

Kartik CHAD aims to inspire every intelligent human being to read one chapter of Bhagavad Gita every day during the all-auspicious Kartik month from 08 Oct 2014 to 06 Nov 2014. CHAD founder H.G Vaisesika Prabhu recommends Bhagavad-Gita Chapter 15.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9th - Importance of Cow Protection and Community Gardening

Vedic Philosophy teaches us that we have 7 mothers, one of whom is the Cow. Taking care of cows is an integral part of Varnashrama Dharma along with Sustainable Agricultural practices in the Community at large.

"In My last birth I was born in the family of cowherd men, and I gave protection to the calves and cows. Because of such pious activities, I have now become the son of a brāhmaṇa." - The words of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu CC adi 1.17.111

Join us this Sunday to understand the purpose and benefits of Cow Protection and how we can effectively protect and nurture this wonderful animal who gives her milk to nourish us.

Also learn what it takes to start and grow a Community Garden.
