Modern science and technology in recent years has showered the modern human society with comforts unimaginable just a few decades back. It has also tried to reason many of our questions and satisfied some of our curiosities. But has science been able to solve all our problems, has it been able to answer some of our inherent questions, like?
- Who am I?
- What is the purpose of my life? Who created this world and why?
- How do I solve the mystery of death? What happens after death?
- Does God exist?
- Why do bad things happen to good people?
Surprisingly, modern science doesn't even attempt to answer many of these questions or rather answers with missing links. Does that mean that there could be no objective/scientific explanation to these questions? The ancient text from India (Vedas) especially Srimad Bhagavad Gita ponders upon these questions that has plagued us from time immemorial and it has satisfied the curiosity of great thinkers and philosophers over many centuries. Here's a reference:
Ralph Waldo Emerson - "I owed a magnificent day to the Bhagavad Gita. It was the first of books; it was as if an empire spoke to us, nothing small or unworthy, but large, serene, consistent, the voice of an old intelligence which in another age and climate had pondered and thus disposed of the same questions which exercise us."
Therefore, our proposal is let's give Srimad Bhagavad Gita a chance. Spoken 5000 years ago, this knowledge is as applicable in today's modern world as it was to sages, kings, and people millenniums before.
