SRI KRSNA JANMASHTAMI 2014

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well.

We are excited to share with you the details on the upcoming Sri Krsna Janmashtami festival which will be celebrated at ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) on Sunday, August 17 with pomp and show.

The most exciting part is that this year the festival falls on a Sunday which means a day packed with programs and festivities. Having said that, we have a lot of service opportunities as we are expecting visitors to come to the temple throughout the day.

Service Opportunities:

We have prepared a list of services and the approximate time slots and you are welcome to help out with any of these services according to your preference. Since Janmashtami is our most important festival of the year and is open to the entire community of Bay Area, we humbly request you to please sign up for the service (same/multiple) throughout the day since that is the only way to ensure that we have sufficient volunteers to cover the event and take care of all the aspects to make the festival a grand success.

We are using Volunteer Spot  (the leading online signup and reminder tool) to organize our upcoming activities. Here's how is works in 3 easy steps:

1. Click this link to see our services signups on Volunteer Spot: http://vols.pt/eA76JZ

2. View the activities listed and choose the slots you like (Click on 'View' button in front of the activity)

3. Sign Up! It's easy - you do NOT need to register an account or keep a password on Volunteer Spot. All you need is to give your email id for signing up the slots.

If you have any trouble signing up, you can write to sailamxi@gmail.com

For any other questions, please write to Hansapriya dd (hansapriya8@gmail.com) or HariSankirtan Das (hariharan.r.iyer@gmail.com)

Please note that Volunteer Spot does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please send a note to Hansapriya dd and she can add you manually.

As we are only 16 days away from Janmashtami, we request you to please invite all your friends and family to celebrate Janmashtami at the beautiful ISKCON temple of Bay Area.

SRI KRSNA JANMASHTAMI SPONSORSHIP DETAILS

Sri Krsna Janmashtami being the biggest festival of the year, we rely on the generous donations offered by our patrons for a successful festival. We humbly request you to extend your support this year as well to celebrate Lord Krsna's birthday in grandeur.

SPONSORSHIP DETAILS:

There are different ways you could contribute to the festival as well as to the various projects at ISV. Kindly take a note of the different categories listed in the flyer above.

We will be performing the Kalash Abhishek this year as well and you can bathe the Lord on His birthday and receive His divine blessings.
