HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well. We extend a warm welcome to you and your family to join us for Radhashtami this Tuesday Sept 2nd and for  a three part seminar on Jiva Goswami on Sept 6th & Sept 7th.

SEPTEMBER , 2nd - Grand Radhashtami Celebrations

After the grand Janmashtami festival, we are now looking forward and eagerly making arrangements to celebrate the auspicious appearance day festival of our divine mother, Srimati Radharani also known as Radhastami. Radharani is the consort of Krishna. She appeared to Vrishabhanu Maharaj (her father) in the village of Rawal a fortnight after Krishna’s appearance.

Radharani’s special qualification is that She is the best devotee of Krishna. Krishna therefore loves Her the most. On Her festival day, devotees seeking Krishna’s grace will especially ask Her to grant them devotion to Her beloved Lord, knowing that if they can attain Her favor, they can attain His as a natural consequence. Radhastami is the only day in the entire year when the devotees get an opportunity to take darshan of the beautiful lotus feet of Srimati Radharani.

HARE KRSNA!

EDUCATION IN ISKCON

"Without education nobody has any social position and all our students in Krishna Consciousness are expected to be preachers. So preachers must have sufficient education because they have to meet with so many opposing elements. Education should be continued at the same time chanting should be continued. There will be no difficulty." [Letter to: Indira and Ekayani - San Francisco 17 December, 1967]

Speaker: HH Hanumat Presak Swami and HG Gadhadhar Pandit Das

Time: 6.00 – 8.00pm

Discourse will be followed by Sandhya Arati and Prasadam

SATURDAY, August 30 - Lord Kapila's instructions on the Movements of Living Entities

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna describes the process of birth as one of the four fundamental miseries of material life. Ordinarily, birth of a living entity is considered to be a happy and welcome event in this world. In the 3rd canto of Srimad Bhagavatam, Lord Kapila sheds light on the actual nature of birth in this world. Hearing from Lord Kapila on this topic makes one's steadfast in purpose to end the process of birth and death, once and for all.

Speaker: H.G. Vrindavan Priya Das

7.30 - 8. 15 am: Sri Brahma Samhita

8. 15 - 10.00 am: Srimad Bhagavatam Discourse on "Lord Kapila's instructions on the Movements of Living Entities"

10.00 am: Guru Puja and Prasadam

SUNDAY, August 31 - Offering with Love and Devotion

Offering a leaf, a flower or a fruit with love and devotion - Krsna accepts it. This is His Promise. The ingredients, skills and mood are important aspects in making a offering. Let's understand theses aspects.

4.00 – 5.45pm: Lecture on "Offering with Love and Devotion"

6.00pm: Arotik followed by Sandhya Arati and Prasadam
