PRICELESS ARTICLES: SRILA PRABHUPADA'S DHOTI AND OTHER ITEMS

Dear Friends,

One of the devotees in our congregation who is a disciple of Srila Prabhupada has put up for auction some precious items, including a set of Srila Prabhupada's original Srimad-Bhagavatams that Srila Prabhupada brought with him on the Jaladuta as well as a gumsha worn by Prabhupada. And there's more!

Now you can own these items, keep them in your home and worship them. There is an auction going on today here @ http://iskconsiliconvalley.com/auction/. And this auction will culminate on Gaura Purnima day (tomorrow) at ISV. The profits from the auction will go to the new temple fund toward building a new altar for Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan. When Parvati inquired from Lord Siva about the highest process of worship in this world, Lord Siva answered that worship of Lord Visnu is the highest. But then he added that even higher than the worship of Lord Visnu is the worship of the 'tadiya' of Lord Visnu. Tadiya means, those things dear to Lord Visnu."O Devi, the most exalted system of worship is the worship of Lord Visnu. Greater than that is the worship of tadiya, or anything belonging to Visnu." (Padma Purana)

In Bhagavatam, Krsna says that His devotees are dearer to Him than His own self. Similarly, the things used by pure devotees are also dear to Visnu and are most sacred. Following this principle, when Maharaja Prataparudra, the king of Orissa, upon receiving a garment used by Lord Caitanya, worshipped it as a Deity, accepting it to be non-different from Mahaprabhu.

There are a limited number of sacred articles in this world that were actually used by Srila Prabhupada. Here's your chance to obtain some of these articles. The remnants of a saintly person are highly potent to re-awaken one's devotion and a great opportunity for spiritual advancement. Participate in this auction and take the mercy home!

The following items are listed in the auction:

1.    Dhoti and Ghumsha of Srila Prabhupada

2.    Painting of Srila Prabhupada

3.    15 original pen and ink drawings done by Ramnath

4.    Original sets (3) of Srimad Bhagavatam

5.    Original painting of Lord Nityananda and Jiva Goswami

Please write to us if you have any questions!
