HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well.

"Those who are actually advanced in knowledge are able to appreciate the essential value of this age of Kali. Such enlightened persons worship Kali-yuga because in this fallen age all perfection of life can easily be achieved by the performance of sankirtana." (Srimad Bhagavatam 11.5.36)

You're invited to attend the Harnaam Sankirtana on Fri, September 26th starting at 6:59pm @ Lytton Plaza, Palo Alto, Please come in time, nicely dressed - Prabhus with Harinam chadars and Matajis dressed in green.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th, ECSTATIC HARINAMA

"Abandon all other considerations and come for the Yuga dharma.

Be happy. Smile without restraint. Sing from your heart. Wave to passersby. Dance when you feel inspired. This is the topmost yoga. Just by joining, you will feel an immediate connection with the spiritual world, with Krsna -- your best friend and well wisher -- and with all other living beings.

Hari Nama Sankirtana is coming to us from Goloka. We are performing this yajna under the direction of our bona fide disciplic succession. It is not some fad or concoction. Those who participate, following the suggestion of guru and Krsna attain the highest knowledge"

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 28th - Grand Srila Prabhupad Deity Installation Festival

This Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014 is an historic event at ISV.  We will be installing our life size murti of Srila Prabhupada and seat him on his new vyasasana.  Srila Prabhupada and his vyasasana have been lovingly made by HG Locana Prabhu,  a consummate artist and a deeply thoughtful disciple of Srila Prabhupada, and were donated to ISV by the generosity of Sri Gopala and Kamesvari Prabhus, Hansapriya Prabhu and Kanka Prabhu.

The installation will begin promptly at 3PM.  You are all invited to bathe Srila Prabhupada during his abhisek, so please be on time!

This Sunday we will also be having our first silent auction.  We will be auctioning one of a kind deity prasad dresses, beautifully framed in display cases, ready to be hung in your home.  The cases will be displayed in the front entrance room for you to view.  Each display case will be labeled with a number and a minimum bid amount.  If you are interested in owning these one of a kind treasures, please put your name on the form provided along with the number of the display case you want and the amount you are willing to donate for it.  The amount written on each item will be the lowest bid accepted for that item but remember, others will also be bidding so if you REALLY want one of these beautiful display cases, donate generously!  The display cases will go to the highest bidder!  These display cases are filled with Sri Sri Madanmohan, Mahaprabhu and Lord Nrsmhadev’s retired clothing and paraphenalia.  We do not retire Their Lordship’s clothing often, so please take advantage of this rare opportunity!  Happy bidding!
