Hope this meets you all well and experiencing Lord Krsna's love! 

Yesterday marked the beginning of the auspicious Purushottam month (also known as adhik maas) which can benefit devotees of Lord Krsna leaps and bounds when they engage in devotional service. Padma Purana recommends engaging in the following activities in this month to become dear to the Supreme Lord.

1. Worshipping Me, Sri Krishna, by chanting My holy name
2. Study of Srimad Bhagavatam and Bhagavad-gita, particularly Chapter
Fifteen, Purushottama Yoga
3. Giving in charity
4. Offering ghee diya (lamp) daily (At ISV we will offer lamp during 8pm Aarti if you wish to join)

WEDNESDAY, MAY 16 - GITA WISDOM


 

Please join us tonight for an evening of Gita wisdom and Kirtans.  We invite you, your family and friends to take the opportunity to engage in the auspicious hearing of Krishna Katha, ecstatic Bhajans and Kirtans, partake in Krishna Prasadam.

FRIDAY, MAY 18 - MONTHLY KIRTAN OASIS FESTIVAL


 

We cordially invite you and your family to participate in our monthly Kirtan Oasis Festival in Palo Alto this Friday, May 18th at 6.59 PM. Please come and take part in this joyful experience of chanting and dancing with the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

SATURDAY, MAY 19 - SRIMAD BHAGAVATAM DISCOURSE

Srimad Bhagavatam is the galitam phalam, or ripened fruit, of all Vedic knowledge. It is exactly like amrita, for by hearing its recitation we can cross beyond birth and death. There are ten subject matters and when studied together, these ten subject matters fully establish the Supreme personality of Godhead, Bhagavan Sri Krishna, as the transcendental Absolute Truth.

Join us to deep dive and experience transcendental wisdom as explained in the great classic text, Srimad Bhagavatam. We are pleased to invite you for this week's Srimad Bhagavatam discourse.

SATURDAY, MAY 19 - VEDIC ACADEMY ANNUAL DAY

 

ISV Sunday school will be celebrating their Annual day coming Saturday May 19, 2018 with performances from 100+ Sunday school children.  We have a full schedule Saturday morning, so please come on time, and with joy, encourage ISV kids while they perform what they've learnt in Sunday school this semester. 

For reference, we have 5 groups:
Kanha (0-2 years)
Damodar (3-5 years)
Gopinath (6-8 years)
Madanmohan (9-11 years)
Kaisora (12-15 years)

11:15AM: All groups assemble in lecture hall.
11:30: Graduation certificates and gifts to be awarded to all students by H G Vaisesika prabhu and H G Nirakula Mataji
11:50: Kanha class: Radharani and her friends, their services and Krishnas colors

12:10: Gopinath: Drama: "Lord Caitanya's tour to South India"

ISV's (New) NAVADWIP PRESCHOOL


Navadwip Preschool is a new education initiative of ISV that is meant for kids of age 3 to 5 year old.
It is  open full day and is located in Sunnyvale.

The curriculum is based on California (CA) state standards educational structure as well as Vedic Culture. A foreign language Sanskrit with structured instructions will also be a part of the curriculum. Maximum of 15 children can be enrolled in this session.

Vedic Academy offers Sunday School for kids from age group 0 - 15 yrs every Sunday from 3 -  7 pm where kids learn about Vedic Culture, Slokas, Stories & Lessons from Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam etc., Bhajans and participate in Arts & Crafts, Dramas and much more.
