WEDNESDAY, Nov 19th - Krishna Katha

Hearing Krishna Katha from pure devotees is the most important means of attaining the ultimate goal of life. Through the process of submissively hearing sound vibration and chanting transcendental sound one attains a fearless state, free from darkness, free from doubt, free from the bewilderment of the accepting and rejecting nature of the mind.

SATURDAY, Nov 22nd - Renunciation of Kardama

Summary study of the Chapter 3.24 including Devahuti's lamentation, birth of Lord Kapila and renunciation of Kardama.

7:15: Guru Puja

7.30am: Brahma Samhita followed by lecture on 'Kardama's Renunciation" by HG. Sukheshwari Devi Dasi

10:00am: Prasadam

SATURDAY- Nov 22nd - THE COMPLETE YOGA PACKAGE

SUNDAY Nov 23rd - The Holy Name is Everything by HG Govinda Caran Das

According to Bhaktivinod Thakur, there is nothing but the holy name to be had in the fourteen worlds. In this session, Govinda Caran Prabhu will speak on the simple yet profound Kevalashtakam verses on the holyname.

Coming Up- Dec 6th- Gita Champions 2014- A Variety of Kids Contests on Bhagavad Gita

Vedic Academy is excited to announce GITA CHAMPIONS – The annual children’s contests based on the Bhagavad Gita. The Bhagavad Gita is universally acknowledged as one of the world’s literary and spiritual masterpieces.

The contests will be held at the ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) @ 1965 Latham Street Mountain View on Saturday, December 6th 2014 from 10 am – 4 pm. We request you to register at the earliest so that it will help us in planning the contests. Participation is by registration only.  Register before November 20, 2014. Entry fee $5/Child for each contest. If registered after November 20 or on spot, the entry fee will be $10 per contest.
