Special Gita Jayanti Celebrations at ISV

Hope this meets you all well.

All of us are indebted to Lord Krishna for speaking the Bhagavad-Gita. “Krishna is so merciful that simply by aiming His instructions at Arjuna, He has given protection to the whole world.” (Sri Caitanya Caritamrta Madhya lila 22.56)

Tomorrow, Dec 2nd, 2014, is Gita Jayanti, the anniversary of Lord Sri Krishna's speaking the Bhagavad-Gita to Sri Arjuna. You are all invited to ISV for Special Gita Jayanti Recitation of the entire Bhagavad-Gita starting @ 5:00pm.

This week we have:

Tuesday: Gita Jayanti - Recitation of the entire Bhagavad-Gita starting @ 5:00pm.

Wednesday: Discourse on "Depending on Krishna" by HG Govinda Caran Prabhu.

Saturday: Srimad Bhagavatam class by HG Vaisesika Prabhu.

Sunday:  Krishna Katha by HG Vaisesika Prabhu

TUESDAY, Dec 2nd - Gita Jayanti - Advent of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita

Gita Jayanti is a unique opportunity to remember Krishna by chanting the Gita with full concentration in the association of devotees.

You are invited for Gita Jayanti Celebrations at ISV on Tuesday,  December 2nd,  starting at 5pm. There will be a special recitation of Srimad Bhagvad Gita led by His Grace Vaisesika Prabhu, followed by Ekadashi Prasadam.

WEDNESDAY, Dec 3rd - Depending on Krishna

When we independently choose to be dependent on Krishna, we become successful. When we misuse our free will and choose to be the controller and not be controlled by Krishna, all material miseries and illusions will follow. When we have Krishna we have everything, if we don't have Krishna we have nothing.

Time: 6.00 – 8.00pm

Topic: Lecture on 'Depending on Krishna" by HG. Govinda Caran Prabhu

Program will be followed by Prasadam.

SATURDAY, Dec 6th - Srimad Bhagavatam Class by HG Vaisesika Prabhu

By submissive aural reception to their pure glorification of God, one becomes gradually purified from our latent envy of God, the root cause of all our suffering. One's own faith is thus nourrished and deepened. 

7.30am: Brahma Samhita followed by lecture on Srimad-Bhagavatam by HG. Vaisesika Prabhu

10:00am: Guru Puja followed by Prasadam
