HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well.

Behind Lord Caitanya’s dancing is an expression of the feeling "My dear Lord, I want to meet You." When Krishna hears a devotee formulating the request "My dear Lord, I want to meet You, I am now separated, but I want to meet You," He comes running from the spiritual world into the life of the devotee.

This week we have:

Wednesday: Reading from Sri Caitanya Caritamrita by H.G Damodar Vamsidhari Das

Thursday: Gaura Purnima Festival Celebrations

Saturday: Discourse on the Srimad Bhagavatam by H.G Ramananda Sakha Das

Saturday: Complete Yoga Package

Sunday:  Sunday Feast Lecture by H.G Vaisesika Das

We extend a warm welcome to you and your family to join us for the classes and event this week at ISV!

WEDNESDAY, March 4 - Caitanya Caritamrita Reading

"Hearing about and glorifying the Lord are identical with the transcendental nature of the Lord and by so doing one will be always in the association of the Lord.  This brings freedom from all sorts of fear." [Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 2.1.5"]

In order to prepare our consciousness for the fast approaching Sri Gaura Purnima, we will continue reading the nectar of the pastimes of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu from his biography Sri Caitanya Caritamrita

Time: 6.00 – 8.00pm

6:00pm: "Reading from Sri Caitanya Caritamrita" by H.G Damodar Vamsidhari Das

8.00pm: Arati followed by Prasadam

THURSDAY, March 5 - Sri Gaura Purnima

Gaura Purnima is a Gaudiya Vaishanva festival that celebrates the divine appearance of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu in Navadwipa, India. Gaura Purnima means "Golden Full Moon". The name signifies that Lord Caitanya took birth at time of full moon and He blesses everyone with the moonlike rays of His teachings.

Lord Caitanya is non-different than Lord Krishna appearing as His own devotees. He spread the congregation chanting of Holy Name and taught that one can gain enlightenment by chanting Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare / Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.

We wish you a wonderful Krsna conscious Gaura Purnima & Holi. May this 'Festival of Colors' bring remembrance of Lord Sri Krsna always. With great happiness in our hearts, we can cordinally welcome you all for this most amazing festival of the year on Thursday.

It is meant for the ultimate good of all people, and it is all-successful, all-blissful and all-perfect." (Suta Goswami, S.B.3.40). Srila Prabhupada states, " Srimad-Bhagavatam carries with it all the transcendental blessings of Lord Sri Krishna that we can expect from His personal contact."

Please join us for our weekly Srimad Bhagavatam discourses every Saturday morning at ISV.

SATURDAY, March 7 - Complete Yoga Package

You are invited to the complete yoga package which includes Yoga asanas, breathing exercises (pranayama), Vedic wisdom, and introspective meditation. We strive diligently to overcome many fears, however the necessary security measures like insurances, helmets, health checkups fail to remove from us a disconcerting sense of fear and insecurity. The Vedic texts explain that all fear originates in an unbalanced material conception of life. Beyond the stage of material activity that preoccupies our mind lies a vast, unexplored realm of spiritual tranquility.
