HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well.

Spiritual life does not mean extinguishing our natural tendencies; it simply means connecting our consciousness to God with our natural tendencies

This week we have:

Wednesday: Bhagavad Gita Discourse by H.G Akruranath Das

Saturday: Discourse on the Srimad Bhagavatam by H.G Vaisesika Das

Saturday: Complete Yoga Package

Sunday:  "Labor of Love" - Sunday Feast Lecture by H.G HariGuru Das

We extend a warm welcome to you and your family to join us for the classes and event this week at ISV!

WELCOMING RAMA NAVAMI BY READING RAMAYANA

"Those listening to this epic (Ramayana)  will receive from Śrī Rāma all the boons they desire. Through a hearing of this work all the gods are satisfied. One who keeps a copy in his house will find all his obstacles coming to an end. A man offering worship to and reading this historical work is completely rid of all sins" -  Ramayana, Yuddha Kanda

Starting today and leading up to RamaNavami that is being observed on Saturday, Mar 28, this year, we will be reading the nectarean pastimes of Lord Rama.  We will be reading to us from the book: Ramayana - HH Bhakti Vikasa Maharaj. If you need a copy of this nectarean book, please write to us @ isvconnect@gmail.com

"This Srimad Bhagavatam is the literary incarnation of God, and it is compiled by Srila Vyasadeva, the incarnation of God. It is meant for the ultimate good of all people, and it is all-successful, all-blissful and all-perfect." (Suta Goswami, S.B.3.40). Srila Prabhupada states, " Srimad-Bhagavatam carries with it all the transcendental blessings of Lord Sri Krishna that we can expect from His personal contact."

Please join us for our weekly Srimad Bhagavatam discourses every Saturday morning at ISV.

7.30am: Brahma Samita followed by Discourse on Srimad Bhagavatam by H.G Vaisesika Das

SATURDAY, March 14 - Complete Yoga Package

You are invited to the complete yoga package which includes Yoga asanas, breathing exercises (pranayama), Vedic wisdom, and introspective meditation. We strive diligently to overcome many fears, however the necessary security measures like insurances, helmets, health checkups fail to remove from us a disconcerting sense of fear and insecurity. The Vedic texts explain that all fear originates in an unbalanced material conception of life. Beyond the stage of material activity that preoccupies our mind lies a vast, unexplored realm of spiritual tranquility.

SUNDAY, March 15 - Sunday Feast

The expression “Labor of Love” indicates an act of mercy free of any obligations nor bound by any rules. Yet we find in the Bhagavad Gita where the supremely merciful yet Autocrat Lord Sri Krishna reveals his motivations to set the standard in all walks of life for all men to follow for all ages. Join us in the journey of self discovery in the footsteps of the great predecessor Acharyas as enunciated in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

We cordially welcome to our Sunday feast program this week which includes kirtan, Bhagavad Gita discourse, Arotik and delicious prasadam!

4:00pm - 5:45pm:  "Labor of Love" - Lecture by H.G Hariguru Das

6.00pm: Sandhya Aartik followed by Announcements and Prasadam

If you would like to sponsor a Sunday Feast, to commemorate a special occasion (like birthday or wedding anniversary) or just in general, please write to us at isvconnect@gmail.com. We will offer the bhoga to the Deities and serve prasadam to all the devotees in your name. Donation amount for the Sunday Feast is $301 only
