THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12 - SRI GOVARDHAN PUJA

Govardhana Puja, Go-Puja and Annakuta are all connected with the story of Lord Krishna lifting Govardhana Hill to protect the inhabitants of Vrindavan. On this day, a hill of sweets is made from food prepared by the devotees, which is then offered to the Deities, and subsequently distributed to everyone. This is known as the “annakuta” ceremony. Cows are honoured as part of the festivities as well.

We extend a warm invitation to you to join us in this festival this Thursday evening!

"This Srimad Bhagavatam is a literary incarnation of God, and it is compiled by Srila Vyasadeva, the incarnation of God. It is meant for the ultimate good of all people, and it is all successful, all blissful and all perfect." (Suta Goswami SB3.40). Srila Prabhupada states,"Srimad Bhagavatam carries with it all transcendental blessings of Lord Sri Krsna that we can expect from his personal contact". We are pleased to invite you for this week's Srimad Bhagavatam discourse.

7.30am: Brahma Samita followed by Discourse on Srimad Bhagavatam on the topic: "Damodar Lila" by H.G Damodar Vamsidhari Das

SATURDAY, November 14 - THE COMPLETE YOGA PACKAGE

You are invited to the complete yoga package which includes Yoga asanas, breathing exercises (pranayama), Vedic wisdom, and introspective meditation. We strive diligently to overcome many fears, however the necessary security measures like insurances, helmets, health checkups fail to remove from us a disconcerting sense of fear and insecurity. The Vedic texts explain that all fear originates in an unbalanced material conception of life. Beyond the stage of material activity that preoccupies our mind lies a vast, unexplored realm of spiritual tranquility.

SUNDAY, November 15 - Srila Prabhupada Disappearance Day - Sunday Feast

Srila Prabhupada departed from this world in Vrindavan dham, India, on the 14th of November 1977. One would not usually celebrate the disappearance day of a person, especially one so loved and revered as Srila Prabhupada. However, the departure of a pure Vaishnava gives cause for jubilation because he returns to his eternal service at Krishna's lotus feet in Goloka Vrindavan, the spiritual world. Although Srila Prabhupada is no longer physically with us, on the spiritual platform he is very much present. He is present in his deity form, in his books and through his instructions. His mercy is available to all those who seek it.

Please join us to celebrate the Disappearance Day of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.

Srila Prabhupada Disappearance Day Schedule

4:00pm Bhajans
4:30pm Realization from Disciples of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada
5:15pm Puspanjali
5:30pm Srila Prabhupada Aarti by His Grace Akruranatha Prabhu &
(Silent Gaura Aarti )
6:00pm Damodarastakam
6:45pm Feast Prasadam

If you would like to sponsor a Sunday Feast, to commemorate a special occasion (like birthday or wedding anniversary) or just in general, please write to us at isvconnect@gmail.com. We will offer the bhoga to the Deities and serve prasadam to all the devotees in your name. Donation amount for the Sunday Feast is $301 only
