Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well. We extend a warm welcome to you and your family to join us for the classes and event this week at ISV! This week is exciting as we have our dear H.G Vaisesika Prabhu back in town to enlighten us. We also have our monthly mini festival at Palo Alto and an in house evening of Kirtan for Pandava Nirjal Ekadasi.

JUNE 15, WEDNESDAY : "AN EVENING OF KIRTAN"

Nirjala Ekadashi is the most important and significant Ekadashis out of all twenty four Ekadashis in a year. Nirjala means without water and Nirjala Ekadashi fasting is observed without water and any type of food. Devotees abstain not only from food but also from water while observing this vrata.

Benefits - Devotees who are unable to observe all twenty fours Ekadashi fasting in a year can observe this single Nirjala Ekadashi fasting as fasting on this day brings all benefits of twenty four Ekadashi fasting in a year.

On this auspicious occasion, we have organized a kirtan event at ISV led by our own in house musicians. We look forward to your presence!

Time: 6.00 – 8.00pm

8:00pm: Sandhya Arati followed by Prasadam

 

JUNE 17, FRIDAY - HARINAM SANKIRTAN 

We are extremely happy to invite you all to our monthly mini festival in Palo Alto.

When: Friday, June 17th @ 6.59pm (Please come as early as possible)

Where: Lytton Plaza on University Avenue (220 University Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94301)

We request everyone to take part in this wonderful activity of distributing the holy name of the Lord. Please bring your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues. Volunteer help is needed and much appreciated.

Srila Prabhupada states,"Srimad Bhagavatam carries with it all transcendental blessings of Lord Sri Krsna that we can expect from his personal contact". We are pleased to invite you for this week's Srimad Bhagavatam discourse.

7.30am: Brahma Samita followed by Srimad Bhagavatam Discourse by H.G Vaisesika Das

10:00am: Guru puja followed by Prasadam

 

JUNE 19, SUNDAY - SUNDAY FEAST

We cordially welcome to our Sunday feast program this week which includes kirtan, Bhagavad Gita discourse, Arotik and delicious prasadam.

6.00pm: Sandhya Aartik followed by Announcements and Prasadam

VEDIC EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN

Vedic Academy offers Sunday School for kids from age group 3 - 15 yrs every Sunday from 4 - 6pm where kids learn about Vedic Culture, Slokas, Stories & Lessons from Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam etc., Bhajans and participate in Arts & Crafts, Dramas and much more.
