Dear Friends and Patrons

Hope this meets you all well and experiencing Lord Krsna's love!

ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) is pleased to invite you and your family for the celebration of Radhashtami. Radhastami is the divine appearance day of Srimati Radharani, the eternal consort of Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Srimati Radharani is the purest devotee, and dearest servant of Lord Krishna. Radhastami is a very special day for all the Gaudiya Vaishnavas, as by obtaining the mercy of Srimati Radharani one can easily achieve Krishna-prema. Radha is Krishna's dearest servant, and is His pleasure potency.

We extend a warm welcome to you and your family to join us for the classes and events this week at ISV!

SATURDAY,  SEP 15 - SRIMAD BHAGAVATAM

Srimad Bhagavatam is the galitam phalam, or ripened fruit, of all Vedic knowledge. It is exactly like amrita, for by hearing its recitation we can cross beyond birth and death. There are ten subject matters and when studied together, these ten subject matters fully establish the Supreme personality of Godhead, Bhagavan Sri Krishna, as the transcendental Absolute Truth.

Join us to deep dive and experience transcendental wisdom as explained in the great classic text, Srimad Bhagavatam. We are pleased to invite you for this week's Srimad Bhagavatam discourse.

7.30am: Srimad Bhagavatam Discourse by H.G Vaisesika Das

10:00am: Guru puja followed by Prasadam

SUNDAY, SEP 16 -  RADHASTHAMI FESTIVAL

Radhastami is celebrated on the eighth day of the bright fortnight (Shukla paksha ashtami) in the month of Bhadra, it is held fifteen days after Krishna Janmashtami. The scriptures extol her glories as the Supreme mother of the whole universe and the one who mercifully escorts and engages all the jivas in the loving devotional service to Sri Krishna.  She always holds a lotus in one of her hands and bestows her blessings out of vaatsalya or motherly affection for the jivas.  She is the Supreme shakti of Krishna. Just as sun and sunlight are inseparable, Radha and Krishna are one, but they have separated for the sake of exhibiting unlimited pastimes of love and to expand the bliss of all the jivas who engage in their eternal service. When we approach shakti, with the desire to become shaktimaan and to exploit the material resources, she manifests her anger as Durga with a trident representing threefold miseries (arising from body and mind, other living beings and natural calamities).

We send a warm invitation to you and your family to join us on this auspicious occasion and receive the divine blessings of Srimati Radharani!
