Special Weekend Lectures

We cordially invite you to our special weekend lectures at ISV based on the timeless wisdom of Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam which touches upon all fields of human knowledge. These Vedic texts give us a clear understanding of all the fundamental and essential truths of life and helps reconnect to our origin.

DATE : Saturday, January 19

TIME : 7.30 – 10.00 am Brahma Samhita recitation & Srimad Bhagavatam Discourse (followed by Guru Puja & Prasadam)

TOPIC : Sweet Surrender

"To surrender is generally considered to be painful because it signifies an acceptance of defeat. How is it that, then, the great saints on the path of bhakti relish joy by surrendering? Join us in this session to discover the sweet spirit of surrendering."

SPEAKERS: HG Sraddha Devi Dasi & HG Gandharvika Radha Devi Dasi

Sraddha Devi Dasi is a disciple of HG Vaisesika Prabhu and has been practicing Bhakti Yoga for the last 5  years. She finds immense joy in sharing the Vedic wisdom by distributing books such as Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam etc. to people in the Bay area. She works as a Director in Oracle Corporation.

Gandharvika Radha Devi Dasi received initiation from HH Jayapataka Swami in 2003. She and her husband Sanatan Sundaram Das have been serving ISV for more than a decade and have been instrumental in raising their teenage daughter, Poojha, with Krsna conscious values and culture. She works as a Solution Architect at Hitachi Data Systems.

TOPIC : Art of Working

"Finding it hard to attend a 1-hour yoga class in the morning or evening amidst a 8-hour work day ? How about doing your entire 8 hours of work itself as a form of Yoga ? In the Bhagavad Gita 2.50, Lord Krishna explains such a beautiful art of working: "yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam". In this session, we'll discuss how to apply this right here in our Silicon Valley culture!"

Through his vast knowledge in the sastras, he has helped many people to understand the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and practice Krsna consciousness.
