Monthly Sankirtan Festival (MSF) of KRSNA's MOST DEAR SERVANT

Over the past few months, the members of the ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) Book distribution Team have been working towards the goal of sharing and distributing 16,108 Bhagavad Gita's in Silicon Valley and across North America on the occasion of Gita Jayanthi, appearance of Bhagavad Gita. The reasons  for this MSF are twofold.

1.     There is such a need for this knowledge in today's world where we are constantly subjected to stress, anxiety, depression, etc. The message of Bhagavad Gita can alleviate such suffering and bring peace and satisfaction to the heart.

2.      One who shares this knowledge, acts in compassion for the benefit of the whole world which makes him very dear to the Lord. Thus, the theme for our goal was "Krsna's Most Dear Servant", as the Lord says in Bhagavad Gita 18.69 : "There is no servant in this world more dear to Me than he, nor will there ever be one more dear".

Distributing 16,108 Bhagavad Gita's in 3 months was the boldest goal we have ever set for ourselves. Did we achieve it? Come and find out in the special program today evening as we offer the results of this MSF to Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madanmohana, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Sri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha.

Here is today's (1/6/2013) program schedule:

4.00 -  5.45 pm : Kirtans and Bhagavad Gita lecture by HG Vaisesika Prabhu

5.45 -  6.00pm : Offering of results

6.00 -  6.45pm : Aarthi

6.45pm : Prasadam

ISV is dedicating this offering to our dear friend, Sriman Rasika Sekara prabhu, who left his body in November 2012. He had such deep desire and eagerness to practice, apply and share this knowledge with everyone and truly exemplified, "Krsna's most dear servant". He and his family were an integral part of the book distribution team and have meticulously handled the core activities of this project. We are very grateful to Rasika Sekara Prabhu and would like to honor him today for his service and dedication.
