HARE KRSNA!

Dear Friends,

Hope this meets you all well.

We are excited to introduce 'ATMA' - an eight session course systematically covering all the fundamental concepts of the Bhagavad Gita based on the teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.

Every Friday from Sept 18th, 2015 to Nov 20th, 2015.
Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Venue: ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) -
1965 Latham St, Mountain View, CA 94040

Abstract: Our bodies are sophisticated machines that contain senses, mind, intelligence, ego, consciousness and super-consciousness. When we are not aware of the role of each of these elements and their interplay, there’s a mismatch between our expectations and the actual outcome.  This lack of awareness can lead to frustration, anxiety, stress, anger, lack of satisfaction, etc. The Bhagavad Gita systematically describes the inner workings of each of those elements and methods for elevating our awareness so that we navigate the machine (our body) through the traffic (situations & circumstances) of this world.

In the words of the Gita our original state is described as “… one being situated in boundless transcendental happiness & established thus, one thinks there is no greater gain. Being situated in such a position, one is never shaken, even in the midst of greatest difficulty“

The topics for the course would include:

Search for Happiness
Consciousness – The Missing Link
Decision Making Framework
Why do bad things happen to good people
